Ingredients

4cupscauliflower florets,trimmed, washed

1½cupswater,or as needed

salt and pepper

butter,for serving, optional

Preparation

Place a steam basket or colander into a large saucepan.

Add the cauliflower to the basket, then add enough water to cover the bottom of the saucepan.

Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until tender-crisp.

Season with salt, pepper, and butter if desired. Serve, and enjoy!
