Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla , optional
1/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp butter, melted
3 tsp baking powder
Preparation
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Add wet ingredients. Mix in enough milk to make the batter pourable.
Heat a drizzle of oil or a knob of butter on a pancake griddle.
Add a ladleful of pancake batter to the griddle. Throw in optional toppings if you like.
Heat each pancake for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Serve.
Serve with favorite fruit or syrup.
