Ingredients

2cupsunsweetened apple juice,or cider

2large McIntosh apples

¾cupraisins,seedless

1cinnamon stick

1tbsplight brown sugar,packed

1tbspBrandy,or Rum

Preparation

In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, combine the apple juice, apples, raisins, and cinnamon.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the apples are fork-tender.

Remove from heat, stir in the brown sugar and brandy, cover tightly, and chill until ready to serve.

Discard the cinnamon stick before serving. Enjoy!
