Ingredients

½tspgarlic,minced

1cupfresh tomatoes,diced

½cupapples,such as Honeycrisp, thinly chopped

2tbspjicama,chopped

2tspcilantro,coarsely chopped

1tspfresh chives,chopped

½tspfresh basil,finely chopped

½tspsalt,or to taste

1tbsplime juice

1½tspwhite vinegar

Preparation

Cook and stir the garlic in a skillet over medium-low heat for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir the tomatoes, apples, and jicama into the garlic, then cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until the tomatoes are hot.

Stir the cilantro, chives, basil, and salt into the tomato mixture, then drizzle the lime juice and vinegar over the top. Cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until apples are juicy but still crisp and tomatoes are warm but still firm.

Drain some of the accumulated juices and transfer salsa to a bowl.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until chilled.

Serve and enjoy.
