8ozbow-tie pasta

6slicesbacon

⅔cupchopped basil

3tbsplemon juice

2tbspolive oil

3clovesgarlicminced

¼tspground black pepper

⅛tspsalt

2pcsavocadoschopped

½cupRomano cheesegrated

Preparation

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

Add pasta and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender yet firm to the bite. Drain.

Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until evenly browned.

Drain on paper towels and crumble into small pieces.

Mix basil, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, pepper, and salt together in a small bowl.

Combine bacon pieces and avocado in a large bowl. Stir in basil mixture.

Add pasta and toss to combine.

Sprinkle Romano cheese on top before serving.
