Ingredients
1chicken breast,boneless skinless
salt and pepper,to taste
1pizza dough,prepared
2tbspbutter,melted
½tspItalian seasoning
2tbspbutter
1tbspflour
1cupmilk
½tspsalt,to taste
¼tspblack pepper
1tspgarlic powder
¼cupparmesan cheese,shredded
1cupmozzarella cheese,shredded
3bacon strips,cooked until almost crispy, roughly chopped
fresh basil,chopped, optional
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a large skillet and season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cook the chicken in the greased skillet over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes on each side until cooked through. Cut into ½-inch cubes and set aside.
Roll the dough out into a circle on a lightly creased large baking pan. Brush with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
Bake for 5 to 8 minutes.
In the skillet where the chicken was cooked, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until the mixture comes together.
Gradually whisk in the milk over medium heat until mixture is bubbly and chickened. Stir in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese.
Remove crust from oven and spread sauce over the top. Top with chicken, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melty.
Top with bacon and basil, serve, and enjoy!
