Ingredients

1loafTuscan bread,(round thick crust and sturdy)

2tbspItalian extra virgin olive oil,or more if needed

1tspkosher salt

½tspfreshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl.

Drizzle 2 tablespoons oil over the bread and toss to coat.

Add more oil if needed and sprinkle with the salt and pepper.

Toss again to coat.

Spread out the croutons on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes until golden and slightly crisp.
