1tspshorteningor as needed
2cupswhite sugar
1cupall-purpose flour
¾cupbaking cocoa
½cupbuttermelted
½cupwalnutschopped
¼cupdark cocoa
2eggs
2tbspwater
2tspvanilla extract
1tspsalt
1bananaripe, sliced
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease a 9 x 12-inch baking pan with shortening.
Mix the sugar, flour, baking cocoa, butter, walnuts, dark cocoa, eggs, water, vanilla extract, and salt together in a bowl until the batter is smooth.
Pour the mixture into the baking pan, then top with bananas.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan.
