Ingredients
1 ¼ cup chili sauce, bottled
3/4 cup light molasses, mild-flavored
3/4 cup beer
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp Tabasco
1 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp hickory-flavored liquid smoke
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in a heavy medium-sized saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens and is reduced to 2 cups, stirring frequently for about 15 minutes.
Cool completely before using on your meats.
