Ingredients
2 lb chicken wings
1 cup beer, preferably pale ale or lager
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp mustard powder
2 tsp salt
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp ground black pepper
½ cup beer, preferably pale ale or lager
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp yellow mustard, prepared
½ tsp cornstarch
¼ tsp salt
Preparation
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oil, beer, chicken, and all your spices. Toss to combine.
Cover and set aside in a chilled area. Allow to marinate for at least an hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and prepare your glaze while waiting.
Combine all the ingredients for the glaze in a saucepot. Whisk until cornstarch has dissolved.
Bring glaze to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Continue simmering until reduced by half and thickened roughly 5 to 8 minutes. Stir occasionally and set aside in a warm area.
Transfer the chicken wings to a roasting pan, then pour beer around the chicken.
Braise in the oven until chickens are fully cooked, roughly an hour.
Drain from the braising pan, then transfer into a large bowl. Pour your warm glaze and toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
