Ingredients

2tbspbutter

½cupbrown sugar

1cupwater,hot

Preparation

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Slowly stir the brown sugar into the butter, allowing it to melt completely. Bring to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes until the sugar caramelizes and gives off a burnt smell.

Remove the sugar mixture from the heat and pour the hot water into the saucepan, then mix until combined.

Pour over pieces of cake and serve immediately. Enjoy!
