Ingredients
⅔cupall purpose flour
1tspbaking powder
½cupground walnuts
¼tspsalt
¼cupshortening
1cupbrown sugar,packed
1egg
1tspvanilla extract
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
In a large bowl, cream the shortening, brown sugar, vanilla, and eggs.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, walnuts, baking powder, and salt.
Slowly add to the egg mixture, stirring until well blended. Spread dough evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 20 to 24 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
