Ingredients
1cupgranulated sugar
1cuplight brown sugar
½cupheavy cream
¼cupmilk
1tbspcorn syrup
¾tspsalt
2tbspbutter
1tspvanilla extract
½cupall-purpose flour
⅓cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
In a 3-quart saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cream, milk, corn syrup, and salt.
Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk until the sugar has dissolved.
Heat the mixture to 240 degrees F, stirring occasionally.
Once it reaches 240 degrees F, immediately remove from the heat and stir in the butter, vanilla, and flour. Stir the mixture until it becomes thick and lukewarm.
Pour the mixture into an electric stand mixer, then beat on medium speed with the paddle attachment for about 2 to 4 minutes until the mixture is very thick. Scrape down the sides of the bowl several times while mixing.
Press the thickened fudge into a buttered 8×8-inch dish and gently press chocolate chips onto the fudge.
Refrigerate the fudge for about 30 minutes until the fudge is set and the chocolate has hardened.
Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!
