Ingredients

1boxdevil’s food cake mix

oil

eggs

water

cooking spray

¾cupmilk

¾cupgranulated sugar

15large marshmallows

3cupssweetened coconut,flaked

¾tspcornstarch

3tbspbutter

6tbspgranulated sugar

4½tbspcocoa powder,sifted

4½tbspmilk

2½cupspowdered sugar

1tspvanilla extract

½cupchocolate sprinkles

Preparation

Coat a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.

Prepare the cake mix as directed on the box, then bake according to package instructions. Cool completely in the pan.

Combine the milk, sugar and marshmallows in a medium saucepan.

Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until the marshmallows are melted.

Stir in coconut and cornstarch, bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, then pour the coconut sauce over the cake while it’s still warm. Let cool completely.

Melt the butter in a small, heavy saucepan over low heat.

Add the granulated sugar, milk and cocoa powder, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly combined.

Remove from heat, then cool slightly. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla.

Pour the frosting over the cooled cake. Add the sprinkles on top while the frosting is still warm.
