Ingredients
2lbsground beef,(85/15)
1yellow onion,chopped
3clovesgarlic,minced
3tbsptomato paste
3tbspchili powder
2tspground cumin
¼tspcayenne pepper
1tspkosher salt
½tspfreshly ground black pepper
15ozkidney beans,canned, rinsed, drained
28ozcrushed tomatoes,canned
Preparation
In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef and onion. Cook until no pink remains and the onions are soft.
Drain the fat and add the garlic, stirring and cooking until fragrant.
Add the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, salt, pepper, kidney beans, and tomatoes.
Bring it up to a boil, then reduce to a simmer in low heat, and cook for 30 minutes.
