Ingredients

1cancola(regular or diet (12 ounces)

½cupketchup

½smallonion(chopped)

1garlic clove(minced)

1tbspWorcestershire sauce

½tspdried oregano

1tbspbrown sugar

½tspdry mustard

pepperto taste

1tbspolive oil

8chicken thighsand/or drumsticks, skinless bone-in

Preparation

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook just until browned on each side for about 5 minutes.

Combine the remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Pour over chicken and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove lid and simmer for an additional 30 to 35 minutes turning chicken occasionally until chicken is cooked through and has reached 180 degrees F.

Serve with rice and steamed veggies.
