Ingredients

3/4 cup flour

2 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup water

4 fish fillets, white fish

vegetable oil

3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced

Preparation

Sift dry flour with cornstarch, baking soda and baking powder togethe in a bowl to make a batter. Add water and mix it well.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Dip fillets into the batter until completely coated.

Fry each fillet for 10 minutes on each side until its browned.

For the chips, fry the potatoes in vegetable oil in a seperate frying pan until golden brown. Sprinkle salt over the chips and fish to taste.
