Ingredients
3cupswater
2tspsalt
1cupbroccolichopped
2tbspbutter
3tbspall-purpose flour
14½ozevaporated milk
1cupwater
1½tsponiongrated
1½tspsalt
Preparation
In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil.
Cook the broccoli in boiling water uncovered for 10 to 12 minutes.
Drain, then place the broccoli in a small bowl.
Mash the broccoli.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Mix in flour, and then gradually whisk in the milk and water.
Stir continuously until the liquid begins to boil.
Stir in the grated onion and mashed broccoli.
Season with remaining salt.
Serve, and enjoy!
