Ingredients
3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
¼ cup sugar
⅛ tsp. salt
1 cup milk, scalded
4 eggs
Preparation
Melt butter in a small saucepan, add flour and hot milk gradually.
When thick, pour over yolks of eggs beaten until thick and lemon colored.
Add salt, sugar.
Cool and fold in whites of eggs beaten stiff and dry.
Turn into buttered pudding dish and bake from 30-35 minutes in slow 325-degree oven.
Serve at once.
Dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving and add whipped cream, if desired.
