Ingredients
2salted buttersoftened
2cupslight brown sugar
2eggs
2tspvanilla
1 ½tspbaking powder
1tspsalt
2 ½cups all purpose flour
1 cream cheeseblock, softened
1egg
3tbsplime juice
¼ cup sugar
1tbspcinnamon
¼tspchili powder
¼cupsugar
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Then, add in the eggs and vanilla.
Once combined, add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until it makes a smooth dough. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, egg, lime juice and sugar until smooth. Set aside.
In another small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, chili powder, and the remaining ¼ cup of sugar. Set aside.
Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Sprinkle a third of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly in the prepared pan.
Spread half of the dough over the cinnamon sugar layer.
Sprinkle another third of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the dough layer.
Layer the cream cheese mixture next.
Spread the remaining cookie dough mixture over the cream cheese layer, then top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake in a 350 degrees F oven for 35 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown and no longer jiggly in the middle.
Cool, then serve and enjoy!
