Ingredients

1tbspvegetable oil

1medium onion

3garlic cloves

coarse salt and ground pepper,to taste

1cupketchup

1cupbeef broth,canned

¾cupcider vinegar

¼cuplight brown sugar,packed

½tspground cumin

½tspground coriander

½tspcelery salt

¼tspcayenne pepper

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, then season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until onion is translucent.

Add the remaining ingredients, then bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes until sauce has thickened.
