Ingredients
6bacon slices,chopped
1onion,diced
2garlic cloves,minced or chopped
1large green cabbage,head, or red, cored and sliced
1tspchicken bouillon,or seasoned salt
salt and cracked black pepper,to taste
½tsponion powder
½tspgarlic powder
¼tspcajun seasoning,or smoky paprika
Preparation
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy.
Transfer bacon to a plate with a slotted spoon. Do not discard the bacon drippings.
Sauté the onion in the bacon grease for 8 minutes until the onion caramelizes.
Add the garlic, then cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the cabbage, then cook for a further 8 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Season with bouillon, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning.
Mix the bacon into the cabbage to warm through.
Serve, and enjoy!
