Ingredients
1 lb ground beef, preferably chuck
15 oz can tomato sauce
7 oz kidney beans, (1 can) drained
7 oz pinto beans, (1 can) drained
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
½ tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp chili powder
¼ cup green bell pepper, medium dice
¾ cup yellow onion, finely chopped
salt and ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil
sour cream
cheddar cheese, shredded
parsley or spring onion, chopped
Preparation
Heat up a pan to medium. Add oil.
Saute the ground beef in oil until evenly browned. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Transfer to your crockpot and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix to combine.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Adjust accordingly.
Set the crockpot on High and cook for about 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Serve hot together with sour cream and grated cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
