Ingredients
1⅓cupsbrown sugar,packed
½cupbutter,melted, cooled
½cupmaple syrup
2tspvanilla extract
2eggs
2cupsall purpose flour
¾tspsalt
¼tspbaking soda
2cupsapples,(about 3 medium), chopped, peeled
¼cupbutter
½cupmaple syrup
¼cupbrown sugar,packed
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl or mixer, beat the brown sugar, melted butter, syrup and vanilla until blended. Beat in the eggs.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda. Add to the sugar mixture and combine well. Stir in the apples. The batter will be thick.
Spread evenly in the 9×13-inch pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and the toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium low heat. Combine the syrup, and brown sugar.
Bring to a boil over medium heat and allow to thicken for 2 to 3 minutes and pour on top of warm blondies.
Serve warm and enjoy!
