Ingredients
½onion,finely diced
1tbspbutter
3cupsground ham,or very finely diced ham
1lbground pork
1egg
⅔cupbread crumbs,seasoned
½cupmilk
⅛tspblack pepper,ground
¼cupbrown sugar
1tbspdijon mustard
2tbspcider vinegar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cook onion in butter for 5 to 6 minutes or until tender. Cool completely.
Combine all loaf ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Place on a parchment-lined pan and form into an 8×4-inch loaf. Bake for 1 hour or until the inside of the loaf reaches 160 degrees F.
Combine topping ingredients and spread over the top of the loaf during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
Rest for about 5 to 7 minutes before slicing.
