Ingredients

1batch20-minute Ricotta Gnocchi

8tbspunsalted butter

20largesage leavesfresh

¼tspred pepper flakescrushed

1smalllemonfresh

Parmesan cheesefreshly-grated

fine sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepperto taste

Preparation

Cook the ricotta gnocchi according to recipe instructions.

Heat the butter in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat.  Once the butter has nearly melted, add in the sage leaves and crushed red pepper flakes.

Continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the butter has turned a light brown color and the sage leaves are crispy.

Remove pan from the heat. Add in the cooked and drained gnocchi and about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the zest and juice of the lemon.

Toss to combine. Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.

Serve warm, garnished with Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
