Ingredients
1⅓cupswater
⅔cupbuckwheat
¼cupbutter
2tbsppesto sauce
½white onion,chopped
salt,to taste
¼cupparmesan cheese
Preparation
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add buckwheat; cover. Reduce heat to low; cook for 20 minutes until water is absorbed. Remove from heat; fluff with a fork.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in pesto sauce and onion.
Cook and stir for about 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Add buckwheat; stir to combine. Season with salt and top with Parmesan cheese.
