Ingredients

2cupsgranulated sugar,400g

9cupswater,divided

2cupsfresh lemon juice

few cups of ice

Preparation

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, while stirring frequently to dissolve sugar. Allow cooling to room temperature, for about 30 minutes.

In a large pitcher stir together sugar syrup mixture, 7 cups of cold water, and lemon juice. Add ice and serve cold. Store in refrigerator.
