Ingredients

1cupketchup
½cupvinegar
2large onions,diced
3clovesgarlic,minced
¾cupbrown sugar
1tbspkosher salt
4lbsbeef brisket,trimmed
Preparation
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Combine water, ketchup, vinegar, onions, garlic, brown sugar, and Kosher salt in a large mixing bowl.
Place the brisket in a large baking dish, then pour the ketchup mixture over the brisket.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and cook in the oven for 4 hours.
Remove brisket from the oven, remove the foil carefully to release steam, then let sit for 10 minutes before slicing.
