Ingredients
1¾cupsall-purpose flour
1cupsugar
1tspbaking soda
1tspbaking powder
½tspsalt
1tspground cinnamon
½tspnutmeg
½tspcloves
2eggs,large
1cuppumpkin puree
½cupbutter,melted and slightly cooled
⅓cupmilk
2tsppure vanilla extract
½cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips,or milk or dark chocolate chips
½cupnutella,melted
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment or baking paper, then set aside.
In a large bowl, combine together the flour, sugar, baking soda and powder, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves. Mix well.
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients, then add the eggs, pumpkin, melted butter, milk and vanilla.
Whisk the wet ingredients together only for about 30 seconds or until combined.
Fold the combined wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a plastic spatula, until just combined and a batter is formed.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Divide the batter in half and pour half into the pan.
Pour the Nutella over the batter in the pan then spread evenly over the top with the back of a metal spoon.
Spoon the remaining batter over the Nutella to evenly coat.
Top with extra chocolate chips, if desired.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
