Ingredients
1 9-inch double pie crust
7 cups baking apples, cored, peeled, and thinly sliced (about 7 medium apples)
1 cup SPLENDA granular no-calorie sweetener
3 tbsp cornstarch
¾ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
Preparation
Prepare or purchase a double pie crust and set crust into a 9-inch pie pan.
Preheat oven 450 degrees F.
Place sliced apples into bowl and set aside.
Combine SPLENDA, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a small bowl.
Sprinkle the mixture over the apples and put into pie crust.
Top with pie crust and seal edges.
Trim and flute.
Make a small opening in the top crust.
Bake in oven until the top crust is golden brown (about 40 to 50 minutes).
Serve hot or chilled.
