Ingredients

¾cupflour

¾tspbaking powder

½tspdried oregano

¾cupmilk

1egg,lightly beaten

4ozmozzarella cheese,(about 1 cup), shredded

4ozpepperoni,(about 1 cup), diced

½cuppizza sauce

2tbspfresh basil,finely diced

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 24-cup mini muffin pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and oregano. Then, whisk in the milk and egg.

Stir in the mozzarella and pepperoni then let stand for 10 minutes.

Stir the batter and divide among the mini-muffin cups.

Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until puffed and golden.

Warm the pizza sauce, then stir in 1 tablespoon of basil. Sprinkle the puffs with the the remaining 1 tablespoon of basil.

Serve the puffs with the pizza sauce for dipping, and enjoy!
