Ingredients

8ozpureed pumpkin,fresh, or canned

2large eggs

½cupvegetable oil

⅓cupwater

1½cupssugar

1¾cupsflour

1tspbaking soda

¾tspsalt

½tspground cinnamon

½tspground nutmeg

¼tspground cloves

1pinchground ginger

1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 7×3-inch loaf pan with baking spray or line with parchment paper.

Mix together the pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water and sugar until well blended with a whisk.

In a separate bowl, add the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, gloves, and ginger, then whisk together.

Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Press the chocolate chips halfway into the batter.

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
