Ingredients

1½cupsall-purpose flour,heat treated

1tspcinnamon,plus an additional ¾ tsp

⅛tspnutmeg

¼tspsalt

½cupsalted butter,softened

⅔cuplight brown sugar,packed

¼cupgranulated sugar,plus an additional 3 tbsp

¼tspcream of tartar,optional

3tbspheavy cream

1½tspvanilla extract

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, whip together the butter, brown sugar, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, and cream of tartar for about 4 minutes until pale and fluffy.

Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together the 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and ¾ teaspoon of cinnamon.

Scoop the dough out evenly 1 tablespoon at a time, then press one Rolo candy into the center of the scooped dough, and roll into a ball.

Roll each dough ball into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Chill or serve immediately.
