Ingredients

2lbschicken breasts,boneless, skinless

1cuproot beer

1cupbarbecue sauce

1tspkosher salt

½tspcoarse ground black pepper

8hamburger buns,split in half, warmed

Preparation

Place the chicken in the slow cooker.

Whisk root beer, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper together in a bowl. Pour over the chicken.

Cook, covered, on Low heat for 4 to 5 hours or until the chicken is tender.

Remove the chicken, then cool slightly. Shred chicken with 2 forks and return to slow cooker.

Serve on buns and enjoy!
