Ingredients

¼medium onion

1large carrot

2celery stalks

14ozHillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage,1 package, diagonally cut into ¼-inch slices

½cupketchup

1½tbspWorcestershire sauce

2tbspdark brown sugar

6cheddar cheese slices

6brioche,or hamburger buns

Preparation

Cut the onion, carrot and celery into equal-sized pieces, then pulse them in a food processor until finely chopped.

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, then cook the smoked sausage until brown.

Add the onion, carrot and celery, then cook for 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

Add the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar, then cook for 6 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spoon the filling onto the buns with cheese, serve, and enjoy!
