Ingredients
5lbspork shoulder,or pork butt
1tspkosher salt
½tspground black pepper
1large onion
3.75ozchipotle peppers in adobo sauce,half of 1 can
24ozDr. Pepper
2tbspbrown sugar
1cupmaraschino cherries,including juice
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
Cute the onion into wedges, then put them in the bottom of the pot.
Place the pork on top.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add the Dr. Pepper, brown sugar, adobo peppers and cherries with juice.
Cover and cook for 6 hours.
Flip the pork a couple of times during the cooking process.
Shred the pork with a fork.
Serve, and enjoy!
