1tspwhite pepper
1tspnutmeg,grated
1tspground cloves
1tspground allspice
½tspcayenne pepper
4cupspecan halves
¼cupunsalted butter,melted
⅓cupmaple syrup
Preparation
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir the salt, white pepper, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
Add the pecans, then toss to coat.
Drizzle the melted butter over the pecans, then pour the nuts onto a jelly roll pan. Spread into a single layer.
Bake in for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly toasted.
Drizzle the maple syrup over the nuts then stir to coat.
Bake for 10 more minutes until the nuts are glossy and slightly dark.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes before scraping into a bowl.
