Ingredients
½cupunsalted butter,softened
1½cupsgranulated sugar
4large eggs,at room temperature
1tsppure vanilla extract
2cupsall-purpose flour
½cupstrawberry pie filling,canned
confectioner’s sugar,for dusting

Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the baking pan in a 13×9-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, on the medium speed of an electric mixer, cream the butter with the granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until smooth.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla and flour, then mix thoroughly.
Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan. With a small, sharp knife, score the dough into 24 2-inch squares. Place 1 teaspoon of pie filling in the center of each scored square.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center of the pan comes out clean.
Cool to room temperature, then sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar before cutting.
