Ingredients
48ozstrawberries
½cupsugar
1angel food cake,10 inches, store-bought
16ozcream cheese,softened
1orange,zested and juiced
½cupsugar
3cupsheavy cream,whipped
Preparation
Slice strawberries and toss with ½ cup sugar. Allow to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Cube angel food cake into 1-inch cubes.
Beat cream cheese, orange zest, sugar, and ¼ cup orange juice until fluffy. Fold in whipped cream.
Drain strawberries reserving juices.
Place ½ of the cake cubes into the bottom of a trifle dish. Drizzle with half of the reserved strawberry juice. Top with ⅓ of the cream layer mixture and ½ of the strawberries.
Repeat layers and top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
