Ingredients
1small cantaloupe,flesh removed and finely diced
½red chile pepper,seeded and chopped
10fresh basil leaves,cut into thin strips
2tbspolive oil,extra-virgin, plus 2 tbsp for cooking
2tbspfresh lime juice
1pinchsalt
1pinchwhite sugar
2tuna steaks,(5 oz)
salt and ground black pepper,to taste
Preparation
Combine the cantaloupe, chile pepper, basil, olive oil, lime juice, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
Heat olive oil in a skillet. Season tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Cook tuna in oil for 3 minutes per side.
Spoon cantaloupe mixture over each steak to serve.
