2cupsCannelini,or Northern Beans

2tbspolive oil

4tbspwater

1tbspfresh thyme

1clovegarlic

salt and fresh pepper

8½pcsbaguette,4 oz, sliced into ¼” pieces

Olive oil spray

extra thyme,for garnish

balsamic vinegar

Preparation

Cut the bread into ¼-inch thin slices.

Toast in the oven with a little olive oil spray at 400 degrees F turning once until toasted.

Once the bread is toasted, lightly rub it with a garlic clove cut in half.

Purée in a small blender or magic bullet all the ingredients for the white bean spread. Add a little more water if it’s too dry.

Top each piece with 2 teaspoons of white bean puree and garnish with fresh thyme.

Drizzle with a touch of balsamic right before serving.
